7-string guitar expert Oleg Timofeyev w/P. Shepherd
In April 2020 the world’s leading expert on the Russian seven-string guitar Oleg Timofeyev will be touring the UK for the first time. For his Brighton and Hove concert, he will present a program of 19th and 20th century instrumental music and accompany Brighton’s own Russian singer Polina Shepherd a few songs in Russian and Yiddish.
My solo recital consisting of an evening of my arrangements of popular music over the last 100 years from the Beatles, to Bacharach and beyond , to every decade from the 1920s to the present day .
The evening will include music by Mertz, Piazzola, Villa-Lobos, Dyens, Legnani and Turina.
