Described by John Williams as “a poet of the guitar”, the London-based Bulgarian classical guitarist Pavel Ralev is establishing a strong presence on the international concert platform. In 2023, he was conferred as an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, in recognition of his “significant contribution” to the music profession. Pavel made his Wigmore Hall debut in November 2023, under the auspices of the Julian Bream Trust (“an unforgettable performance”, Gendai Guitar Magazine).

The Classic Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire

The Classical Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire was formed around 3 years ago and is conducted by Nicole Alderson. The ensemble has steadily grown over the months and now currently has 10 members. They rehearse each week in Beverley and have performed in venues such as Hull Minster, Beverley Minster, St Mary’s Church Beverley, Pockdown, Wassand Hall amongst other beautiful settings. Their performances feature music ranging from the Spanish and classical repertoire to arrangements of popular hits.
